Victoria Falls Canopy Tour: 9 ziplines with bridge walkway
Nine slides strung between the spray and the bridge, nothing between you and the view
The Victoria Falls Canopy Tour is a nine-zipline course above the Zambezi rapids and Victoria Falls Bridge, lasting two to two and a half hours. Two guides lead the activity, which includes a safety briefing, all gear, and hotel pickup and drop-off from Victoria Falls Town. Children from age 6 are welcome, though those under 16 need a parent or guardian present to sign the indemnity form.
Step-by-step itinerary
Victoria Falls Canopy Tour experience
- Receive detailed safety briefing
- Complete nine canopy slides
- Cross one cable bridge walkway
- Enjoy views of Zambezi rapids and Victoria Falls Bridge
The Experience
Nine slides make up the course, ranging from 40 metres to 85 metres long, plus one cable bridge walkway that lets you cross on foot above the rapids. The longest stretch gives you time to take in the Zambezi below and the spray rising from the Falls themselves. Before you clip in, the two guides walk you through a detailed safety briefing, step by step, so you know exactly what to expect on each cable.
The whole activity runs two to two and a half hours from start to finish. Hotel pickup and drop-off from your accommodation in Victoria Falls Town is included, along with an air-conditioned vehicle and all the gear you need—harness, helmet, the works. The guides stay with the group throughout, and the activity runs regardless of fitness level, so the course is built for anyone willing to step off the platform.
Wear comfortable clothes that cover your skin, bring hiking or running shoes, and pack sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Hair ties help if you have longer hair. Lockers are available at the site, so you can leave valuables behind rather than carrying them on the cables. The activity is weather permitting, so the operator may reschedule if conditions turn unsafe.
