The driver meets you at Chan May Port Gate with a welcome board, about 500 meters from your cruise ship. From there, the car heads to Lap An Lagoon, a quiet spot known for oyster farms and the local fishing village, then continues to Lang Co Beach, which sits on one of the world's most captivating bays with white sand and clear water. The route then climbs the Hai Van Pass, one of Vietnam's most scenic hill routes, where you stop at the peak to see the Hai Van Quan gate (a historical marker from the 14th century when it stood between two kingdoms), and take in the panoramic views of mountains and sea.
From there, your choice determines the rest of the day. If you pick Ba Na Hills, you ride a cable car to the mountain peak and explore the resort's attractions: the Golden Bridge (a famous structure held up by giant stone hands), the Le Jardin D'amour flower garden with nine different themed gardens, the French Village, Debay Wine Cellar, Linh Ung Pagoda, and Fantasy Park. If you choose Hoi An instead, you walk around the World Heritage city's ancient town, which includes a group of five limestone Marble Mountains in Da Nang on the way. Either way, the driver takes you back to Chan May Port when the time is up.
The car is private, so the pace and stops are yours alone. Bottled water comes with you, and the driver handles the road tolls and parking fees.
