Hộ Quốc Pagoda comes next, a Buddhist temple set in gardens with intricate statues where you can sit in the peaceful grounds. The Phu Quoc Prison, also called Coconut Tree Prison, is a historical site that holds artifacts and displays from the resistance wars, offering insight into the island's past.

Sao Beach is where the afternoon settles in. The beach sits on the southern coast with fine white sand and clear water, gentle enough for swimming and long enough to spread out.
