By 1:30pm you're on the speedboat heading to your first snorkeling spot, and the guide—English-speaking, trained in the underwater layout—walks you through the gear and safety before you even get in. Turlehead Rock Beach is where you acclimate, about 30 to 45 minutes of shallow water and adjustment. Then it's the Half-moon Reef and Coral Mountain, two separate stops where you spend 40 to 50 minutes at each one. The Half-moon Reef drops to 9 meters if you free-dive, but the surface snorkel works just as well—clownfish, anemones, the coral formations are close enough that you don't need depth to see them.
