The experience
The Hon Thom Cable Car is the centerpiece: a 7,899-meter span that lifts you above the water and gives you a view of the islands and coastline most visitors only see from the beach. You'll ride it twice, once in the morning when the light is clear, and again in the afternoon when you can watch the sunset unfold beneath you. Between those two rides, the day moves through Phu Quoc's quieter attractions. You'll stop at Ngoc Trai Ngoc Hien, a pearl farm where you can watch the entire process from oyster care to finished jewelry, then visit Ho Quoc Pagoda, a temple on a hilltop with views across the sea. Lunch is included, and you'll have time at Sao Beach, the island's most popular stretch of white sand and clear water, where swimming and water sports are available if you want them.
The tour also includes Phu Quoc Prison, a historical site that documents Vietnam's war history, and Hon Thom Water Park, where the park's water slides and wave pools are open if you choose to use them. Your driver picks you up at your hotel in Duong Dong town at the start and returns you there at the end. The pace is built around the cable car rides and the beach time, so you're not rushing between stops. An English-speaking guide travels with you the whole day and explains what you're seeing.

Is this one for you?The full 8-hour commitment means you'll see the cable car twice (morning and sunset), and have real time at Sao Beach rather than a quick photo stop. If your day in Phu Quoc is shorter, or if you want to explore the north side of the island, a different tour would fit better.
