The experience
The day starts at your hotel with pickup at 7:30 AM, then heads to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO-listed complex of brick and stone temples built by the Champa Kingdom over more than a thousand years. You'll wander the ruins and learn the history of this Hindu holy land from your guide, visiting the on-site museum to understand the Champa culture that built it. The site sits in a valley surrounded by jungle, and the temples (some intact, others weathered to fragments) tell the story of a civilization that flourished here centuries before the modern cities around it.
After lunch (a local noodle meal included in the tour), you move to Marble Mountains, a cluster of five limestone and marble hills in Ngũ Hành Sơn District, just south of Da Nang. Each mountain is named after one of the five elements: Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth). You'll explore shadowy caves and hidden tunnels carved into the rock, visit Buddhist and Hindu grottoes tucked inside the hills, and climb to the summit for views across the city and coast. The caves and grottos are the main draw: some contain shrines and altars, others open onto sudden vistas of the landscape below.
The tour is private, meaning it's just your group, and your guide speaks English throughout. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, so you don't arrange transport yourself. If you want to add the Lady Buddha statue or extend into Hoi An's old town, those options are available at checkout.
