The experience

Eight hours starts with pickup at your hotel in Da Nang or Hoi An, then a transfer to Ba Na Hills. The cable car ride itself is the Guinness World Record holder for longest cable car line in the world at 5,042 meters, and it climbs 1,291 meters in elevation: the largest vertical rise of any cable car system on record. The ride takes you up to the mountain's peak, where the air temperature sits between 17 and 20°C year-round, and the clouds hover at mid-height so the summit stays clear even when the lowlands are covered.

The Golden Bridge is the centerpiece: a 148-meter wooden span with a golden handrail, held aloft by two enormous stone hands emerging from the mountainside. Your guide points out the vantage points for photographs and explains the history of Ba Na Hills, which was a French hill station built in the early 1920s with over 200 villas, restaurants and clubs. From there you move through the Flower Garden, visit Linh Ung Pagoda, and tour the Wine Cellar before taking a second cable car down to the French Village. Lunch is a buffet at the Ba Na Restaurant.

Fantasy Park fills the afternoon with walking trails through a Fairy Forest, a Dinosaur Park, a 5D Wild West experience, a 4D race ride, a 3D 360-degree theater, an underground journey ride, a Jurassic Park section, a Freefall Tower, a Horror House, and over 90 free games scattered throughout. You return by cable car and are dropped at your hotel by late afternoon.
