You'll ride the cable car up Ba Na Hills — 25km southwest of Da Nang and 1,487 meters above sea level — a system that holds five world records. The cable car itself is part of the draw: the ride carries you through the elevation change that lets Ba Na hold four seasons in a single day, from the humid coast below to the cool mountain air where the French built a resort in 1901.

Once at Ba Na Station, you walk through Vong Nguyet Hill and visit Linh Ung Pagoda, then tour the Old Villas — French colonial structures that still stand — and the Old Wine Tunnel. A second cable car takes you higher to Nui Chua Mountain, the range's peak, where you see Nghinh Phong Peak, Le Nim Villas and the Orchid Garden. Lunch is a buffet at the mountain restaurant. By 1:30pm you descend to Fantasy Park, Vietnam's third-largest indoor games zone, where you have free time to play 4D and 5D films, the death race, Dinosaur Park and other games.

At 4pm the return journey starts: you ride down and travel back toward Da Nang along Red Beach Bay, stopping at Central Specialties Super Market for shopping before your driver drops you at your hotel.
