The experience

The day starts with hotel pickup in Da Nang at 8 a.m. and heads straight to Ba Na Hills. A cable car carries you up the mountain (the operator notes it has won five world records) with a first stop at By Night station to visit Vong Nguyet hills, Linh Ung pagoda, and the Old Villas of French. The cable car continues to Nui Chua Mountain at the top of the Ba Na range, where you walk through Nginh Phong top, Le Nim Villas, and an Orchid Garden. A hill-climbing train takes you to an old French cellar and the flower garden Le Jardin D'amour.

The Golden Bridge is the centerpiece: a walkway suspended high in the foggy hills, held up by two enormous stone hands, with views of Da Nang city spread out below. After crossing it, you have buffet lunch at a restaurant on the mountain. The afternoon splits into two options: explore the French village at your own pace, or spend two hours in Fantasy Park, Vietnam's third-largest indoor games zone, with 4D and 5D films, racing simulators, and a dinosaur park. At 3 p.m. the tour heads back down, stopping at Red Beach Bay and a supermarket before returning you to your hotel.

The mini bus is air-conditioned and your guide speaks English. All activities, entry fees, taxes and lunch are included in the price. The only things not covered are drinks beyond what comes with the meal and tips.
