The experience

The tour starts with pickup at Tien Sa port and heads first to Linh Ung temple on Son Tra Peninsula. The Lady Buddha statue rises 67 meters, equivalent to a 30-storey building, and faces the sea holding a pitcher of nectar in one hand and the samadhi seal in the other. Inside the statue are 17 floors, each containing 21 smaller Buddha statues. The pagoda sits in a coastal setting that draws pilgrims and visitors for its spiritual atmosphere and the scale of the monument itself.

From there, the route turns south to Marble Mountain, a cluster of five limestone and marble hills about 9 kilometers from Da Nang. The mountains are named after the elements (metal, wood, water, fire and earth), and hold caves, tunnels and temples built into the rock. You explore the main caves to see a Buddha statue carved in Cham style, and can climb to a circular cave that leads to the summit, where panoramic views open across the coast and My Khe Beach below. The caves carry traces of history: bullet holes mark where troops once stationed to watch the beach during the war, and Buddhist sanctuaries remain active pilgrimage sites.

After lunch at a scenic restaurant, the tour continues to Hoi An Ancient Town, the former port city on Vietnam's central coast. The town's architecture layers centuries of influence: wooden Chinese shophouses and temples, colorful French colonial buildings, ornate Vietnamese tube houses, and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge with its pagoda. The guide leads you through the canals and streets of the old quarter. The tour ends with return transport to Tien Sa port.
