The experience

The day starts with a pickup at your hotel in Da Nang or Hoi An, then heads straight to Ba Na Hill. You'll ride the world's longest cable car line (5,042 meters across a vertical drop of 1,291 meters) to reach the hilltop attractions. Once there, the guide takes you through the Golden Bridge, where giant stone hands cradle the walkway, then past the Flower Garden, wine cellar, Linh Ung Pagoda and French Village. The second cable car descent brings you back down before lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, the tour moves to Marble Mountain, a cluster of five peaks named for the elements of the universe: water, fire, wood, earth and metal. You'll visit the holy pagodas at the summit, explore natural caves that once sheltered wounded soldiers and Viet Cong fighters during the war, and stop at a family marble-carving workshop to watch artisans at work. The views from the mountain overlook the entire Da Nang valley and coastline.

The final two stops are the Lady Buddha statue on Son Tra Peninsula, which commands views of the mountains, ocean and city skyline, and the modern Dragon Bridge, Da Nang's most recognizable landmark. The tour ends with a return to your hotel, completing a nine-hour itinerary that covers the city's most visited sites in a single day.
