The experience

The tour starts with pickup from your hotel, then a scenic drive to Echo Adventure's Basecamp in Groveland before heading into Yosemite Valley itself. Your local guide leads the group through the valley floor, stopping at the major landmarks that define the park: Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Falls, Half Dome, El Capitan and Tunnel View. The combined 3 miles of walking is spread across the day, so you're not hiking continuously. You're moving between viewpoints and iconic spots, with time to take in each one.

The guide handles the route and the timing, which means you're not navigating or worrying about which direction to go next. Park entrance fees are already covered, so there's no stop at the gate or separate payment. Snacks are included, and you'll get a commemorative Klean Kanteen steel bottle to take home. The group stays small enough that you can actually hear the guide and ask questions. If you're visiting in winter or spring, an all-inclusive option adds a Giant Sequoia hike and lunch to the day.

The tour wraps up back at the Basecamp by 3pm, leaving your afternoon open.
