Ride to four waterfalls instead of standing in line at one

A self-guided e-bike tour through Oregon's waterfall country hits Multnomah Falls, Wahkeena Falls, Oneonta Gorge and a wading hole over roughly two hours. Entry to Multnomah Falls is included, and you pedal a scenic route through the woods between stops instead of joining the main parking lot crowds. Riders must be at least 16 years old.

Step-by-step itinerary

E-bike tour to Oregon waterfalls

  • Ride to Wahkeena Falls
  • Stop and see Wahkeena Falls
  • Park bikes and walk to Multnomah Falls
  • Visit Multnomah Falls
  • Optional hike to Ponytail Falls
  • Visit swimming and wading hole

The Experience

The e-bikes do the climbing for you, which is what makes four waterfalls reachable in a morning without a guide narrating the whole way. You pedal a scenic route through the woods, cross streams, and stop where the falls are—Wahkeena Falls first, then the wading and swimming hole, then the optional hike behind Ponytail Falls if you want the view from inside the waterfall itself. The bikes stay parked when you reach Multnomah Falls and walk up to the main attraction; entry is already paid for.

Oneonta Gorge is on the longer tours—contact the operator for details on that access since the main entrance is closed. The whole loop takes around two hours, and because you're moving under your own power between stops instead of sitting in a shuttle, you feel like you're exploring rather than being herded through a checklist. The route stays on the scenic bike path, so the pedaling is steady but not punishing.

The e-bikes are available to riders 16 and up per Oregon state law. If you're bringing a group, ask about group rates when you book.

What’s included

Operated by E-Bike Multnomah Falls

Is this one for you? This is a self-guided tour, so you set the pace and decide how long to linger at each waterfall—it suits anyone who wants to see multiple falls without a group schedule or a guide talking the whole time. The e-bikes mean the route covers ground that would take much longer on foot, and the entry to Multnomah Falls is already included, so you skip both the crowds at the main parking lot and the ticket counter.
