You’ll swap desert heat for real snow at Ski Dubai—ski, snowboard, meet penguins, or just play in the powder. It’s fun for all ages and totally unique in Dubai.
Walking into Ski Dubai from the heat outside feels a bit surreal—one minute you’re dodging the midday sun, next thing you know, your breath comes out in little clouds. We grabbed our jackets (they hand them out at the entrance) and headed straight for the slopes. The snow’s real—cold enough to crunch under your boots—and there’s this faint scent of hot chocolate drifting from Avalanche Café up on the second floor. Our guide, Ahmed, pointed out where beginners should start; I stuck to the smaller hill first, just to get my balance back.
Kids were squealing on the toboggan run while a group of teens tried snowboarding tricks near the chairlift. The penguin encounter was honestly my favorite part—watching those little guys waddle right past us made everyone smile. If you time it right, you can catch their feeding session (usually around 2 pm). The chairlift gives a cool view over everything; you’ll spot families building lopsided snowmen and folks just flopping down to make snow angels. It’s easy to forget you’re still inside a mall in Dubai until you step back out and feel that desert air hit again.
Yep! Jackets, pants, and boots are included with your ticket. Gloves and hats are available too if you need them.
You can see them up close during scheduled encounters—just check times when you arrive. It’s a highlight for most visitors!
Most people stay 2-3 hours but it depends on what activities you want to try. There’s plenty to do even if you don’t ski.
Your entrance ticket covers access to all main snow park attractions: skiing, snowboarding areas, rides like tobogganing and giant ball runs, plus entry for penguin viewing sessions (subject to schedule). All cold-weather gear is provided at no extra charge.
