The sound hits you first — a roar of water and screaming from every direction the moment you walk through the gates of Atlantis Aquaventure. The waterpark sits on The Palm, Dubai's man-made island, and it's genuinely massive: more than 105 slides, rides and attractions spread across the whole property, so you're not standing in one spot all day. Odyssey of Terror, Shockwave, Leap of Faith, Blackout — the names alone tell you what you're getting into. But there's also the 1 km private beach overlooking the Arabian Gulf if you want to step away from the chaos for a bit, and the Splashers kids' zones if you're bringing younger children who need something less intense.

The day pass gives you unlimited access to everything, which means you're not rationing rides or watching the clock. You can hit the same slide three times in a row if you want, or float down the scenic rivers with gentle currents, or just sit in a pool and watch other people throw themselves down the extreme ones. Parking is free at the site, and if you book the optional transfer, someone picks you up from your hotel and drops you back — one less thing to figure out on a hot Dubai day.
