The experience
The Vortex Tunnel is the first stop: a spinning platform that appears to move beneath your feet while you stand still. From there, the Ames Room warps your sense of scale: one corner of the room looks impossibly distant while another feels close enough to touch, and the people inside appear to shrink and grow as they move across the floor. The Rotated Room tilts your entire sense of gravity, making it hard to stand upright even though the floor is level.
Between the signature rooms sit over 80 interactive exhibits: holograms that seem to float in air, stereograms that reveal hidden 3D images when you focus just right, and optical illusions painted on walls and ceilings. The Smart Playroom collects mind-bending puzzles and games designed to trip up your brain. You're encouraged to touch, move through, and photograph everything. The whole point is to engage with the illusions rather than observe them from a distance.
A shop stocked with toys, games, and illusion-themed souvenirs sits at the exit. The museum is accessible to all physical fitness levels and welcomes children from age 4 onward, making it a stop that works for families, solo travelers, and groups of any mix.
