The Experience
Most people who want to try scuba diving assume they need weeks of training first. This 2-hour session at Jumeirah Beach skips that part. You show up, get fitted with gear, and within minutes you're underwater breathing like you've done it a hundred times. The instructor walks you through the equipment on the beach—how the regulator works, how to move without fighting the water—and then you're in, exploring the coral and fish just off the shore.
The group stays small: four divers to one instructor, which means you're not waiting around or getting lost in a crowd. The instructor briefs you on key skills before you descend—how to clear your mask, how to equalize pressure, what to do if something feels off—and then you're swimming. You'll see tropical marine life and coral formations that are right there, close enough to notice the colors and movement. It's not a deep dive or a long one, but it's real scuba diving, not a pool simulation. The whole thing takes about two hours from arrival to getting back on the beach.
Underwater photos happen during the dive, and the company posts them to their Facebook page afterward so you have proof of what you did. You also get a dive record entered into the PADI database, which means if you decide later to get certified or dive somewhere else, that record travels with you. The equipment is all provided—tank, wetsuit, fins, mask, the lot—and there's a water refill station on-site because they don't use single-use bottles. You can book different times throughout the day depending on when you're free, so it fits into a Dubai itinerary without forcing you to wake up at dawn.
What’s included
Your 2-hour session includes the scuba diving instructor, all diving equipment (tank, wetsuit, fins, mask, regulator), instruction on how to use the gear and key diving skills, underwater photos taken during the dive, local taxes, and access to a water refill station. You'll also receive a dive record entry in the PADI database for future diving experiences.
