Hagia Sophia requires a note: live guiding inside is no longer permitted, so your guide briefs you outside and you enter with a smartphone audio guide (or follow the posted information if you prefer not to use one). The 20- to 30-minute interior visit is yours to take at your own pace. At Topkapi Palace you'll see the weapons section. At the Grand Bazaar you get free time to hunt for souvenirs among its 4,000 shops spread across 61 covered streets. If a site is closed on the day of your tour (the Grand Bazaar shuts on Sundays, for example, or Topkapi on Tuesdays), your guide substitutes a similar alternative without changing your itinerary.

You can stop for lunch at a local restaurant to try Turkish kebaps, and you're free to pause for photographs anywhere along the route. The minivan is air-conditioned and seats your group only. Return to your hotel or port is guaranteed on time.

What happens at Hagia Sophia if I want to go inside?

Hagia Sophia no longer allows live guide commentary inside, so your guide gives you information outside the building. You then enter with a smartphone audio guide (or follow the posted signs) and spend 20 to 30 minutes exploring on your own. The entrance fee is 28 USD and the audio guide is 4 USD extra, paid directly.

Can I pick what time the tour starts?
