The experience
You start in the family's organic garden, picking the vegetables and herbs you'll cook with (tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, fresh greens), then move into the stone arch kitchen to begin. Over three hours, you'll prepare a soup, a stuffed vegetable dish, a rolled grape leaf preparation, a main course, pilaf, and dessert, working alongside the instructors who guide you through each step. Everything uses ingredients grown on the property or sourced locally, and you'll drink traditional Turkish tea as you work.
The class ends with a shared meal: you sit down with the family to eat the dishes you've made. This is not a performance or a demonstration. You're doing the cooking yourself, learning how the family actually prepares food at home. The audio guide in German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean or Chinese gives you a personal introduction to the household before you arrive, so the connection starts before you walk through the door.
