The experience
The class starts with hotel pickup in Hua Hin town and a guided walk through a lively morning market. Your instructor points out fresh herbs, aromatic spices, seasonal vegetables, and the core ingredients that build Thai flavor: showing you how each one works and why it matters. You'll see what's in season and how locals shop for the day's cooking, which makes the recipes easier to understand when you're back in the kitchen at home.
After the market, you move to the cooking space and prepare five dishes from one of four rotating menus: Green Curry with Chicken, Pad Thai, Tom Yum Goong, Massaman Curry, or Basil Chicken, depending on the session. You chop, grind curry paste with a mortar and pestle, work the wok, balance sauces, and taste as you cook. The instructor guides each step in a relaxed way, so first-time cooks and experienced ones both move at their own pace. Once everything is done, you sit down and eat the meal you made.
The class runs about five hours total. You'll take home a recipe booklet so you can recreate the dishes, a certificate of completion, and the muscle memory of how the flavors come together. Children aged 6 and up can join at a child rate with a parent, cooking full-size meals at their own station with staff help when needed. Let the operator know about food allergies or dietary restrictions ahead of time, and they'll adapt the dishes for you.
