The Experience

The schedule is built around what certified divers actually want: variety without planning. Every day hits a different part of Koh Tao's reef system—Chumphon Pinnacle, Sail Rock, Southwest Pinnacle, White Rock, The Sattakut, Twins and the rest rotate through the season. Morning trips depart at 7 am for two dives; afternoon trips leave at 1 pm for two more. You show up 30 minutes before your boat time, and the divemaster meets you at the shop to go over the site conditions and the plan for the day.

The boat carries all your gear—tanks, weights, BCD, regulator—so you travel light to the island. A professional divemaster or instructor runs the trip and stays with your group underwater, which means you get the site knowledge without having to navigate it yourself. Snacks, fruit, coffee and tea come on board, and the whole outing runs three to four hours from departure to return. Transport from your hotel is included, so the only thing you arrange is showing up on time.

You decide how many dives fit your trip: two, four, six or eight. Buy the package that matches your stay and book whichever departures work with your schedule—morning dives if you want the afternoon free, afternoon dives if you're sleeping in, or mix them across multiple days. The sites change daily, so even if you're on the island for a week, you're not diving the same reef twice.
