The Experience
The boat leaves Thong Krut Pier on Koh Samui's southern coast and heads first to Koh Mat Sum — Pig Island — a small island where you can wade into the shallows to interact with the pigs, hike to a viewpoint, or simply lie on the white sand. The stop is yours to shape: some people spend twenty minutes there, others longer. From there the boat cruises to Koh Taen, where the snorkeling happens. The reefs around Koh Taen hold tropical fish, rays and coral; if snorkeling is not your plan, the boat has a sun deck where you can stay aboard and watch the water instead.
Lunch is a Thai meal served on the boat while you are anchored at Koh Taen. After eating, the afternoon splits between snorkeling, kayaking around the island, or beach time — you choose. The boat carries premium snorkeling equipment, so you do not need to bring your own or rent separately. A guide is aboard the whole time, and the boat is yours alone; no other groups share it. On the return to Samui, you might catch the sunset depending on the time of year and the hour you booked.
The whole outing runs four hours from pier to pier. Pickup is included if your hotel is on Koh Samui; the boat departs from Thong Krut Pier on the southern coast. Life jackets, a first aid kit and insurance are provided. Soft drinks and water are aboard, and a fruit platter comes with the meal.
