Muay Thai Advanced Class in Koh Samui: 2-Hour Training
Step into the ring with a pro and master authentic Muay Thai moves
An advanced Muay Thai class in Koh Samui for martial artists with at least a year of experience in Muay Thai or kickboxing. The session runs two hours starting at 4 p.m., beginning with a 4–5 km run through Lamai, followed by rope skipping, shadow boxing, technique drills, sparring, pad work and clinching. Boxing gloves and shin guards are provided; hand wraps rent separately.
The Experience
The class starts at 4 p.m. in Lamai with a run—real fighters begin this way, and it sets the pace for what comes next. If running is not your plan, you can warm up at the gym instead, but the structure assumes you show up in running shoes ready to move. Thirty minutes of running, then rope skipping and stretching to settle into the work.
The hour that follows builds technique and power. Ten minutes of shadow boxing teaches Muay Thai footwork and hand placement without contact. Fifteen minutes of technique exercises isolate the kicks, punches and elbows the sport demands. Then fifteen minutes of sparring—controlled, but real—where you test what you have learned against another fighter. The pad work that follows lets you throw combinations at full power into a trainer's mitts, and ten minutes of clinching rounds out the session with the close-range grappling that defines the sport. Five minutes of stretching closes it.
This class is built for people who have trained before. Discipline and hard work are not optional; the goal is to move you closer to your next fight or to the level you are chasing. Boxing gloves and shin guards come with the session. Bring your own hand wraps or rent them at the gym for 50 baht.
What’s included

- two hours of instruction including running, pad work, sparring and clinching.

Is this one for you?The two-hour block leaves the rest of your afternoon free, but it is not a drop-in class—this is serious training for people who already know how to fight. Come ready to work hard and to spar; if you are looking for a gentler introduction to Muay Thai, a beginner class would suit you better.
