The Experience

The sanctuary is already feeding when you arrive — handlers moving through the grounds with buckets, elephants moving toward their morning meal. You'll change into traditional Karen clothing and join the preparation, learning how to cut and arrange the food the way the staff does, then watch from a safe distance as the animals eat and move through their natural behavior. It's not a performance. The elephants aren't lined up for photos. They're just living their day, and you're there to see it.

After observation, the group walks to a waterfall deeper in the sanctuary grounds — about thirty minutes through the forest, with the sound of water getting louder as you go.
