The experience

What's the easiest way to see Mount Titlis and Lucerne in one day without renting a car? This tour picks you up at Sihlquai Bus Station in central Zurich and handles the 10-hour route: a scenic coach ride past Lake of the Four Cantons, a guided spin through Lucerne's Old Town where your guide points out the Chapel Bridge and Town Hall, then free time to explore on your own before heading to Engelberg.

At the valley station, you board a series of aerial cable cars that climb to the 3,000-meter summit of Mount Titlis. The Rotair revolving cable car lets you see the glacier's crevasses and ice boulders from every angle as you ascend. Once at the top, the Cliff Walk, Europe's highest suspension bridge, crosses a dramatic gap with views down into the alpine landscape. You also ride the Ice Flyer chairlift to get closer to the crevasses, visit the Glacier Cave, and try snow tubing at the Glacier Park (available May–October at the summit, December–March at the middle station). The day ends with restaurants and a sun terrace at the top, then a coach ride back to Zurich arriving around 7pm.

A professional guide who speaks English or Spanish leads the entire tour and travels with the group. Transportation in an air-conditioned coach, all aerial cable cars, the Cliff Walk, Glacier Cave and snow tubing are included. You'll need to bring warm clothing, solid-soled shoes and sunglasses. The tour runs in all weather. If you want to try skiing for the first time, an optional Ski Experience is available (English or Spanish departures, ages 10+, winter only, weather permitting) where a Titlis staff member provides equipment and supervision on beginner slopes, though this option excludes the Ice Flyer and is subject to cancellation with partial refund.
