An optional one-hour walking tour adds Chapel Bridge and Lucerne Castle, plus a sightseeing cruise on Lake Lucerne.

Step-by-step itinerary
Chocolate factory tour and tasting
- Visit family-owned chocolate factory
- Learn chocolate production steps
- Taste award-winning Swiss chocolates
- Decorate your own chocolate bar
The experience
The experience opens inside the factory itself, where you'll watch every step of how the chocolates are made: tempering the cocoa, preparing the filling, casting and demoulding each piece, then hand-dipping and packing. The production area operates on weekdays. On weekends the tour still runs but focuses on the tasting and decoration instead. You'll taste several of the factory's award-winning chocolates (the kind that have won recognition at food shows worldwide) before moving to the decoration station where a master chocolatier helps you design your own 200-gram bar. Water is provided throughout.
The factory sits a ten-minute walk from the train station (train tickets cost approximately CHF 18 per person, though many visitors have a Swiss Travel Pass). The two-hour session runs Monday through Sunday year-round and operates in all weather, so dress for the conditions. If you have chocolate allergies or dietary restrictions, let the operator know in advance so they can select the right chocolates for you.
You can extend the day with an optional one-hour walking tour of Lucerne's landmarks (Chapel Bridge and Lucerne Castle), or add a sightseeing cruise around Lake Lucerne instead. Both extensions are booked at checkout. The walking tour includes lift access to Lucerne Castle. A guide leads in English or Spanish.

Is this one for you?Book this if you want to spend time actually making something rather than watching a demonstration: the decoration with a master chocolatier is the centerpiece, not an add-on. The two-hour length fits a morning or afternoon in Lucerne without dominating your day, and the optional walking tour or lake cruise lets you build the rest of your schedule around it.
