The experience

Paguera is where you meet your guide and get the briefing on the Slingshot: a three-wheeled roadster with 170 horsepower and manual transmission that you'll drive yourself for the next three hours. The route runs roughly 90 kilometers through some of Mallorca's most varied terrain: you head toward Santa Ponsa and Palmanova, then cut through Palma past the Cathedral and the Club Nautico, swing south toward Calvià at the foot of the Tramontana mountains, and finish at Port Andratx before looping back through Camp de Mar to Paguera. The guide leads the way and sets the pace. You follow in your own vehicle, experiencing the open-air drive without the logistics of planning the route yourself.

The Slingshot's design (two front wheels, one rear, fully open to the elements) makes this a different kind of driving than a car. You sit low, feel the road, and have an unobstructed view of the landscape as it changes from coastal towns to mountain passes. The guide handles navigation and timing, so you can focus on the driving. Cold drinks are provided during the tour. Gasoline is included in the price.
