The experience
You arrive at the meeting point, get a briefing from an experienced guide, and then drive out into the Mallorcan countryside within minutes. The route takes you past small fincas, traditional windmills and the village of Sant Jordi, giving you a real sense of how the island looks beyond the coast. The buggies are automatic with power steering, so there's no clutch work or gear shifting. Just point and drive. Seat belts are built in, which means no helmet is required, so you get an unobstructed view the whole way.
After the paved sections, you hit the off-road track. This is where the buggy's suspension and ground clearance earn their place: you spend about 30 minutes on an unpaved route that would be rough in a regular car but is exactly what these vehicles are built for. The track shows you terrain most visitors never see, and the guide stops briefly at the end so you can catch your breath and take in the edge of Llucmajor, a traditional town that marks the boundary between the backcountry and the settled areas.
You can book as a solo driver, bring one passenger in the front, or split a four-seater buggy with up to three others. The choice changes how the experience feels: solo gives you full control of the line you take, while sharing spreads the cost and the responsibility. Either way, you're operating the vehicle yourself, not watching from a passenger seat.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French and German.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Do I need a driving license to ride in a buggy in Mallorca?
Only the driver needs a valid license. Passengers aged 12 and up (or 125 cm tall in a two-seater) or 4 and up (in a four-seater) can ride without one. Your license must be an original document in Latin script. Photos, copies and non-Latin alphabets are not accepted in Spain, so bring an international license if yours uses a different alphabet.
What's the difference between the two-seater and four-seater buggy options?
A two-seater holds a driver and one passenger. A four-seater holds a driver and three passengers. The two-seater costs less per person if you're traveling solo, while the four-seater spreads the cost across more people and works well for families or groups.
How much of the route is off-road versus on paved roads?
You start on paved roads through villages and countryside, then spend about 30 minutes on an unpaved track where the buggy's suspension and traction really matter. The rest of the three-hour activity is on regular roads.
What happens if I've never driven a manual transmission buggy before?
These buggies are automatic, so there's no clutch or gear shifting. Power steering makes them easy to handle, and the guide gives everyone a briefing before you start, so first-time drivers are fine.
Is this activity suitable if I have a back or neck condition?
The activity is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health. The unpaved section involves bumps and vibration, so if you have concerns about your back or heart, check with your doctor first or consider watching from a passenger seat instead of driving.
