Snorkel Caleta de Fuste: 1-Hour Guided Experience with Gear
Mask and fins in hand, watching fish move through Fuerteventura's reef.
A 1-hour snorkeling activity in Caleta de Fuste, Fuerteventura, where you enter the water with a mask, fins, neoprene suit and snorkel tube—all provided—and spend 40 to 50 minutes watching local marine life with an instructor present. The group stays small (max 8 people), a boat takes you to the snorkeling site, and you can choose your departure time when you book. A live guide speaks English, Spanish or German.
The Experience
You arrive at Caleta de Fuste, one of Fuerteventura's best beaches and close enough to Puerto del Rosario and the airport that it fits into a free afternoon. The instructor meets your group—no more than 8—and hands out the neoprene suit, mask, fins and snorkel tube. A short boat ride takes you out to the snorkeling area, and then you're in the water for 40 to 50 minutes, moving through the reef and watching the fish that live there. The mask and tube let you see without the weight and complexity of diving gear; the neoprene keeps you warm in the Atlantic.
The boat captain debriefs you on the way back, pointing out what you saw and answering questions about the marine life. Because the group is small and the activity is short, there's no long briefing or complicated setup—you're in the water fast. The whole outing takes about an hour and fifteen minutes from start to finish.
What’s included
- Snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel tube, neoprene suit and fins).
- boat ride to the snorkeling site.
