The experience

The day starts with pickup from your Corralejo accommodation and a short transfer to the Get Wet Center, where you'll collect your wetsuit, mask, snorkel and flippers. Everything is sized on-site (wetsuits come in children's sizes from age 4), so you walk to the harbor already geared up. The speedboat ride to Isla de Lobos takes 10 minutes across open water, and once you arrive, your guide Udo, a licensed NAUI instructor, leads a brief training session in the shallows to check your comfort with the equipment.

The snorkeling happens in crystal clear lagoons where you'll spot starfish, crabs and schools of colorful fish moving through the water. You're not following a rigid route. After the guided portion, you have free time to explore the spot at your own pace, staying in the shallow areas where visibility is best. The whole experience is built for mixed ability: families, first-time snorkelers and experienced ones all go out together, so there's no pressure to keep up or hold back.

The return boat ride brings you back to the Corralejo port, and from there it's a short walk back to the center before your transfer home. The whole outing runs three hours door-to-door, which means it fits easily into a morning or afternoon without eating your whole day. Your guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian or German depending on the group.
