The Experience

The tour departs from one of three Seoul locations — Myeongdong Station, Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, or Hongik University Station — and takes about an hour to reach Elysian Gangchon. The resort sits 203,740 square meters across eight slopes: two for beginners, one for pre-intermediates, five for intermediates, and two for advanced skiers. Because the terrain is gentler than other resorts in the region, you can learn and practice without the steeper pitches that intimidate first-timers.

The six options let you choose what suits your skill and what you want to do. If you pick ski with the moving walk, you get rental equipment, a one-hour basic ski lesson, and unlimited passes for the moving walk — a gentler way to practice without the commitment of a lift pass. Ski with the lift pass swaps the moving walk for full-slope access once you've had your hour of instruction. Snowboard options come with rental equipment and either the moving walk or lift pass, but no lesson — the operator notes that snowboard instruction is not included. The sled option is for anyone who wants to ride without skiing or snowboarding; it's available from December 26, 2025 onward. Free time means you show up, rent what you need separately, and spend the day as you choose. A lift pass is not recommended for first-timers for safety reasons, so the moving walk option is the safer starting point if you're new to skiing.

Bring your own waterproof gloves or buy them at the resort for 15,000–30,000 KRW; ski suits are also not included and must be brought or rented separately. Children must be at least seven years old to ski, and children under six need a guardian for sled rides. The tour operates in rain, snow, or wind. You'll return to one of the two main drop-off points in Seoul — Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station or Myeongdong Station — depending on your option and departure location; note that the tour does not return to Hongik University Station at the end.
