The experience

The drive from Riyadh takes you across open desert to Jebel Fihrayn, where the landscape shifts from sand to a sudden geological drop. Once you reach the cliff edge, the view opens in all directions: golden sand dunes stretch to the horizon, and the 1,000-foot vertical drop creates the sensation of standing at the world's end. Your guide arranges seating so you can watch the sunset from the top, then serves coffee, tea and snacks as the light fades.

After sunset, the guide sets up for stargazing and prepares a hot dinner with traditional Saudi food. If weather turns poor, dinner moves to a traditional Saudi restaurant in Riyadh instead. The tour includes a private 4x4 vehicle for the full journey, so you travel without sharing the ride or waiting for other groups. A cave visit can be added if you request it. Gazelle viewing is available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday only.

The return to Riyadh is included, and your guide speaks English or Arabic. The full experience runs 6 hours from pickup to drop-off at your hotel.
