Edge of the World tour from Riyadh: Private sunrise or sunset
Two routes to the cliffs, one private 4x4, and a Saudi picnic at the edge.
A private Edge of the World tour from Riyadh pairs a trained local guide, a modern off-road 4x4 with hotel pickup and drop-off, and your choice between the Huraymila Gazelles Sanctuary route or the Sadus Batcave and Camels route. The guide customizes the pace and timing to your schedule, and the day ends with a hike to the cliff peaks, photos, and a traditional Saudi coffee and snacks picnic at sunrise or sunset. The round trip follows the same route because there is no crossing point at the edge due to elevation difference.

The experience
The drive out takes you into the desert on off-road terrain in a private air-conditioned 4x4. Before you reach the Edge itself, you decide which route to follow: the Huraymila Gazelles Sanctuary, where you'll see the deer reserve, or the Sadus Batcave route with camels. Both involve interesting stops and off-road driving, and both end at the same dramatic cliffs. Your guide picks you up from your hotel anywhere in Riyadh and handles all the driving, so you're free to watch the landscape change.
Once at the Edge of the World, you'll hike to a few of the mount peaks along the cliffs for around 1 to 1.5 hours. This is where the photos happen: the tall cliffs drop away in front of you, and the moment is serene enough to sit with. After the hike, you settle into a Saudi-style picnic with light snacks, bottled water, traditional Saudi coffee and dates, all set against the sunrise or sunset you chose when you booked. The guide and driver are both with you the whole time, and because it's a private tour, there are no crowds or interruptions.
The tour runs 5 to 7 hours depending on how long you linger at the peaks and how much time you spend with the wildlife or the bat cave. Your guide speaks English or Arabic and can adjust the schedule to fit the rest of your day in Riyadh. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, and there are no hidden costs: service charges and taxes are already built in.
