The experience
The tour starts with a walk through El Yunque's trails, where your guide leads you to natural water pools scattered through the forest. You swim in these pools at your own pace: some travelers rope swing or slide into the water, others wade in. Since it's a private tour, there's no group schedule to follow. You set the rhythm and your guide stays with you the whole time to answer questions about the rainforest ecosystem and point out what you're seeing.
The water pools are the centerpiece. You get to choose how you enter each one: rope swing, water slide, or simply swim. Life vests and helmets are provided.
