The experience

The route follows the river itself as your path. You'll descend through towering cliffs and emerald-green pools, using the natural landscape as your playground: jumping from rocks, sliding down smooth sections of canyon wall, and wading through water that changes color as the light shifts through the jungle canopy. The canyoneering section is designed for adventure enthusiasts of varying experience levels, so the guide adjusts the intensity to match the group. Each jump and slide reveals another pocket of the canyon system before you emerge at Kawasan Falls itself, where the turquoise cascade gives you a chance to float and recover.

You'll wear a life jacket, aqua shoes and helmet throughout, and the guide (trained by the municipality and fluent in English) stays with you the entire time. Hotel pickup happens in the morning from Cebu City, Mactan, Lapu-Lapu, Moalboal or Badian, and the van brings you back at the end of the day. Lunch is included, and there's a changing room in Badian where you can rinse off and change into dry clothes before the drive home.

The tour closes every third Wednesday of the month for government maintenance. If weather turns rough and the operator cancels, you can reschedule or get a full refund. A zipline on site costs 700 pesos per person if you want to add it.
