The experience
How do you actually see the Nazca Lines? From the ground, they're invisible. Just lines in the dirt. From the air, they resolve into figures that have puzzled archaeologists for centuries. This tour picks you up from your hotel or the Nazca bus station and takes you to the airport, where you'll clear security and board a small plane. Once airborne, you spend 35 minutes circling the geoglyphs while the pilot (speaking both English and Spanish), points out the hummingbird, the monkey, the spider and others, some over 2,000 years old.
The flight window runs from 9 AM to 4 PM, and bad weather can push your departure to another day or trigger a refund. Passengers over 110 kilograms are required to purchase an additional seat due to airline safety rules. Infants sit on an adult's lap. The tour includes a flight certificate to take home and the ride back to your hotel or bus station when you land.
