Built on a breakwater that once protected Fort Grant, this scenic road connects the mainland to four small islands and offers direct sightlines to the canal entrance. The guide stops at the Biomuseo, Frank Gehry's colorful building, for a short walk to see its architecture and ocean views, and at the iconic Panama sign for photos. Sloths often rest in the trees along this stretch — a detail the guide will point out if they're visible that day.

The final stop is the Miraflores Visitor Center, where you watch container ships cross the locks from the viewing platforms. Ships typically pass around 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. and again after 1:50 p.m., depending on your tour time. Note that the center is currently undergoing renovation, so some exhibits may have limited access and construction zones are visible, but the lock views and engineering scale remain the draw.
