The Experience

By late afternoon we were tired in that good way where your feet ache but your head is buzzing with new names and smells and half-remembered facts about Oman’s history. Sometimes I still think about that first glimpse of blue tile under mosque arches or how Yusuf poured tea like he’d done it forever.
