Muttrah Souq is where the food and the market culture come together. You walk the narrow alleys lined with stalls selling silver, handicrafts and spices, and stop to taste Omani coffee, tea, bread and traditional sweets. The guide explains what you're seeing and tasting, and you have time to browse without the pressure of a schedule.
