The experience

You're picked up from your hotel or accommodation and travel in a private electric Tesla: no tour bus, no group schedule to follow. The guide drives you through Thorndon, Wellington's colonial and early Māori historic area, then up to the Wellington Cable Car. From the Cable Car Lookout you see the harbour spread below. The award-winning Cable Car Museum is there if you want to explore it, and you can ride the cable car itself down to Lambton Quay and back if the mood strikes. The route takes you past the steepest street in Wellington, through the university and down into the CBD and Parliament precinct.
