A stop in Parnell village includes the rose gardens; from there the route heads downtown past West Haven marina and its yachts to the Auckland Harbour Bridge itself.

The second half swings through Achilles Point for views of downtown, Waiheke and Rangitoto Islands, then crosses to Devonport—a bayside village with upscale cafes, seafood restaurants, classic pubs and fish-and-chips shops. North Head, the volcanic cone that rises from the village, has views of Rangitoto on one side and Auckland city on the other.
