The experience
How do you fit a real safari into two days when you're on a tight schedule? This tour compresses the essentials: you leave Windhoek, spend a night at Toshari Lodge (an eco-friendly resort positioned right near the Anderson Gate), and wake to an early breakfast before heading into the park. The guide collects the park permit, then you're driving point to point, waterhole to waterhole, with your guide spotting and interpreting what you see. The game drive runs until midday, when you stop for lunch at one of the park's resorts before the drive back to Windhoek.
The first day includes a stop at a craft market where different Namibian cultures sell wood carvings, precious stones, minerals and fabrics: a chance to pick up something small or simply watch the work. It's a brief cultural pause before settling into the lodge for the night. Day two is all wildlife: you'll be watching for the big four, scanning the Etosha salt pan from the viewpoints to take in its scale, and keeping your camera ready for the live action. Bring binoculars, sunscreen, bottled water and snacks. The guide handles the navigation and the knowledge.
The tour includes fuel, an air-conditioned vehicle, parking fees, breakfast, dinner and a professional guide who speaks English, Portuguese or French. An additional game drive is available as an add-on if you want more time in the park, and a Himba village visit can be arranged separately.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, French and Portuguese.
What animals might I see on the Etosha game drive?
The guide looks for the big four (lion, leopard, elephant and rhino) plus common wildlife at the waterholes and salt pan. What you spot depends on the season and the animals' movement, but the guide's experience helps interpret the signs and share stories of the park.
How much time do I actually spend driving inside Etosha National Park?
The game drive runs from after breakfast until midday, when you stop for lunch at a park resort. That gives you a full morning of wildlife watching before heading back to Windhoek.
What is Toshari Lodge like, and where exactly is it?
Toshari Lodge is an eco-friendly resort located near the Anderson Gate, the park's main entrance. You stay there overnight between the two days, so you're positioned to start the game drive early the next morning.
Do I need to bring anything special for the safari?
Pack binoculars, sunscreen, bottled water and snacks. They're useful during the long drive. Bring your camera too. You'll be taking photos throughout the game drive. The vehicle is air-conditioned, but the sun is strong at the waterholes and viewpoints.
Can I add more game time or visit a Himba village?
Yes. An additional game drive is available as an add-on for NAD 2000, and a Himba village visit can be arranged as a separate option at checkout.
