The experience

You meet your guide at a set location in Marrakech and get a briefing on what's about to happen. The initiation covers the basics of the flight, how to position yourself, and what to expect once you're airborne. Then you walk to the cliff edge, clip in, and launch into the Moroccan sky as a tandem pair. Your instructor handles the wing and the landing. You experience the flight. The Atlas Mountains, including Toubkal, sit at your back. The Agafay Desert stretches in front, with Lalla Takerkoust Lake visible below. A GoPro camera captures the whole thing, so you have footage and stills to share once you're back on solid ground.

The full outing runs five hours from pickup to drop-off. Private transportation means no waiting for other travelers or coordinating meeting points. The driver collects you from your hotel or a location you choose, brings you to the launch site, and returns you afterward. Before the flight, you share tea with your instructor, a moment to settle nerves and get to know the person who'll be flying with you. The air-conditioned vehicle keeps you comfortable on the drive through the landscape.

All paragliding gear is provided and covered by two-seater insurance. Your instructor is qualified and trained in Turkey and France, so the technical side is handled by someone who knows the equipment and the conditions.
