The Experience

The flight itself is the core of the morning. You'll run and lift off from a hillside or mountain peak with an instructor, relying on wind currents to stay aloft. Unlike a fixed-wing aircraft, a paraglider gives you an unobstructed view and an intimate sense of the air around you—the silence broken only by wind through the lines. How long you stay up depends on the day's thermals and conditions; the operator adjusts flight time to keep the experience safe and thrilling, so no two departures are identical.

After landing, you'll have time to settle. A tea break overlooks the same scenery you just flew over, giving you a moment to let the adrenaline settle and the landscape sink in. Later comes lunch—a tajine of your choice, prepared to order, so book your preference in advance. The meal is authentic Moroccan, eaten in the same beautiful setting where you watched the sky.

An air-conditioned vehicle picks you up from your hotel and brings you to the launch site, so you don't arrange transport yourself. A Go Pro captures video and stills during the flight, so you have footage to prove it happened. The guide speaks English, Spanish or French, and children from age 5 are welcome to fly. The whole day runs about 4 hours from pickup to lunch.
