The Experience

You get picked up from your hotel or riad in Marrakesh at 4:00 pm and driven to the Agafay Desert, arriving around 7:00 pm. The timing is built around the flight itself — you'll have time to take photos of the desert landscape and drink traditional Berber tea before the sun drops low enough to make the flight worthwhile. This is when the light turns the dunes gold and the air cools.

The paragliding happens at sunset from the top of the desert. You're in the air during the moment most travelers photograph from the ground, which is why the timing matters. Bring a camera or GoPro — the perspective from above changes what the Agafay looks like. The flight itself is the centerpiece; everything else — the pickup, the tea, the drive back — is built around it.

You return to Marrakesh between 9:00 and 10:00 pm. The whole outing takes five hours door to door, which means it fits into an afternoon or evening that would otherwise be free, but it does not leave room for dinner plans afterward or for a second activity the same night.
