Windsurf lessons in Essaouira with Explora Watersports, a beach-based center at the bay's optimal spot for learning. Two students per instructor, each with full equipment and wetsuit. The experience

Explora Watersports sits right at the beach where the conditions work best for learning. The setup keeps groups small (just two of you with one instructor and your own equipment), so there's room to ask questions and get real-time feedback. If you're starting out, the lesson begins on the sheltered side of the bay where the water stays calm. The instructor stays close in a boat the whole time. If you've windsurfed before, you'll talk through your experience first so the instructor can build the session around what you already know and what you want to work on.

The center brings in new equipment each year, so the boards and sails are current and well-maintained. Wetsuits come with the lesson, so you're ready for the Atlantic water temperature. The team speaks English, Spanish, French, German and another language, so instruction happens in whatever works for you. Two hours on the water is enough time to get comfortable with the basics if you're new, or to push your technique if you're returning to the sport.
