The Experience

The day starts at the Tulum Ruins, the only Mayan archeological zone built on the ocean. You walk the site with your guide and stand in front of the temples against turquoise water and white sand—no climbing, just the view. From there the group moves into the jungle on ATVs, where the terrain tests your handling of the bike through the forest floor.

The ziplining and rappelling happen in the middle of this jungle. You clip into the lines yourself and move through the canopy; the rappel takes you down into cenote caves—the sacred freshwater pools the Mayans depended on. After rappelling, you swim in the cenote to cool off. Lunch and drinks come at a rest point during the day, and the guide carries water and soda throughout. All equipment—lifejackets, harnesses, helmets—is provided.

Small groups keep the day manageable, and the guide speaks English or Spanish. Hotel pickup and the return trip are included, so you don't arrange transport. The whole day runs 7 hours from start to finish.
