Step-by-step itinerary

Adventure at cenotes and Mayan village

  • Zip-line through forest
  • Canoe on water
  • Cliff dive into cenote
  • Snorkel in open sinkhole
  • Swim in secluded cave
  • Visit adjacent Mayan village
  • Enjoy delicious village lunch

The Experience

The four cenotes sit close to Tulum, each one set up for a different activity. You decide which ones to visit and what to do at each: zip-line across one, paddle a canoe into another, jump from a cliff at a third, or swim and snorkel in a small cave cenote. None of the activities are required—the pace is yours, and the guide adjusts the day around what you want to do. Hotel pickup and drop-off happen at the start and end, so transport is handled.

Lunch happens in the adjacent Mayan village, prepared fresh there. The meal is included along with all the gear you need: life jackets, snorkeling equipment, bottled water, snacks and drinks throughout the day. Your guide is a professional who speaks English and Spanish and knows the locations well enough to steer you toward what suits your group. The whole experience runs between four and six hours depending on which activities you choose and how long you linger at each cenote.

If the Tulum ruins interest you, the itinerary can be extended to include them for an additional charge. Otherwise, the day stays focused on the cenotes and the village. National park fees and local taxes are already built into the price, so there are no surprise costs at the end.
