The experience
You start with hotel pickup and drive through the jungle to reach Tak Bae Ha, a cenote most divers never find. The dive here is a mix of open water and cavern diving. You'll move through underground passages and see the cenote's natural formations with your guide leading the way. After surfacing, you eat a local Mayan lunch (fresh fruit, Cochinita sandwiches, water and juice) before heading to the second site, Tak Bae Lum, for another dive. Both cenotes stay uncrowded because they're not the famous ones tourists book.
All scuba equipment is provided and fitted to you before you enter the water. Your professional guide speaks English or Spanish and stays with your group throughout both dives, pointing out the geology and answering questions underwater. Entrance fees to the cenotes, bottled water and snacks are included. The full day runs about six hours from pickup to drop-off. If you want a third dive, you can add one at Dos Ojos or return to either cenote for an additional fee. Just request it when you book.

Operated by TAE Tulum Area Experiences
Is this one for you? This is a shared small-group dive, so you'll have a guide and a few other divers with you rather than a private experience. That setup keeps the cost down and means your guide can give personalized attention to everyone in the group. If you've done some diving before or are comfortable following a guide's lead, this works well. If you want one-on-one instruction or prefer to explore at your own pace, a private dive would suit you better.

Live guide in English and Spanish.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (10 to 17 years). Under 10: they can't be included in the booking.

What's the difference between the two cenotes I'll dive?
Tak Bae Ha is your first dive and combines open water and cavern sections, letting you explore underground passages. Tak Bae Lum, the second site, is equally exquisite but less known, so you'll have more space and fewer other divers around.
Do I need to be an experienced diver to go?
The dives are suitable for all physical fitness levels. Children from age 10 are welcome. Your professional guide will assess your experience and adjust the dive profile to match your comfort and skill.
What's included in the lunch?
Lunch is a local Mayan meal with fresh seasonal fruit, Cochinita sandwiches, water and juice. It happens between the two dives, giving you time to rest and refuel.
Does the price change depending on where my hotel is?
Hotel pickup is included from most central Tulum hotels. Pickups from Bahía Puerto Príncipe, Puerto Aventuras, Playa del Carmen or the Iberostar area carry an extra fee per person. Ask when you book so you know the total cost.
Can I bring my own diving certification card?
Your guide will want to see your certification before the dive to confirm your level and experience. Bring your card with you on the day.
