The experience
The boat tour covers the landmarks Cabo is known for: the Arch, Land's End, Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach. You'll have time to photograph the rock formations before the boat moves to Pelican Rock, where you enter the water with your own snorkel gear and flotation device. The snorkeling is self-directed, no guide in the water, so you set your own pace and choose where to look. Tropical fish species at Pelican Rock include Mexican Hogfish, Goatfish, Panamanian Sergeant Major, Spotted Porcupine fish, Purple Surgeonfish and Angelfish. Depending on the season, whales, sea turtles and sea lions appear in the bay.
Snorkel gear, flotation devices and safety gear are provided. Bring your phone for photos and a backpack with your own drinks and snacks. The activity runs two hours total. A live guide leads the boat portion in English or Spanish. Contact the operator if you have questions about the snorkeling setup or what to expect in the water.
Is this one for you?The guide leads the boat tour in English or Spanish, so you'll hear the commentary live. The snorkeling itself is unguided and self-paced, which suits anyone comfortable in the water without instruction and wanting to explore on their own terms.
